Along with the Deputy of Infrastructure Affairs of the Indonesia Ministry of National Development Planning, Kennedy Simanjuntak, CEO of PINA Center for Private Investment attended the World Pension Funds and Social Security Summit from 9-12 June 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. This summit is an annual event initiated and arranged by the Asia Pacific Investment Corporation (APIC), an organisation that gathers key stakeholders across government and private sectors.
The theme of the conference for this year is called World Pension Funds and Social Security Summit; Managing Risk and Investment Strategies. At this conference, our CEO delivered keynote speech discussing the role of PINA Center for Private Investment, and the increasing need of participation from private sectors to invest in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. This event has opened good opportunities for Indonesia and PINA, knowing that global investors from pension funds often hesitant to invest due to limited information available in the market.
